Our Social Responsibility
Research
We were born believing in the importance of scientific knowledge to improve the quality of life and health of dogs and cats. Therefore, since 2013, we have supported research and researchers in several institutions in Brazil.
Research on different topics in Veterinary Medicine, especially on the nutrition of dogs and cats, has been idealized, completed, or is underway.
We are proud to, through science, always contribute to a better future for dogs, cats and their owners!
In partnership with UFPR, we created the Portuguese version of the Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters, a technical guide prepared by the Association of Shelter Veterinarians of the United States, which deals with standards of care for animal shelters.
Through this publication, we seek to disseminate and promote the knowledge and best practices of Veterinary Medicine in shelters among veterinarians, professionals, and volunteers who work in NGOs for dogs and cats, and to contribute to the increase of welfare and adoption rates in these institutions.
Social Projects
Veterinary shelter medicine project
Since 2018, the Medicina Veterinária de Abrigos project has helped 3.306 dogs and cats to find a home. We seek to provide well-being, quality of life, and longevity to dogs and cats in the comfort of their loving homes and those looking for a second chance.
We help NGOs upgrade their performances, providing free technical support by a team of veterinarians specialized in Collective Veterinary Practice.
This project is carried out in collaboration with the UFPR (Federal University of Paraná) team and is tailored to each NGO’s realities. Together, we promote enhanced animal welfare and adoption rates through this initiative.
Pró-Carnívoros Institute
We support the Pró-Carnívoros Institute (Institute for the Conservation of Neotropical Carnivores), which conducts scientific research to ensure the long-term survival of Brazilian carnivores.
Casa Hope's Adote um Leito
We support the project ‘Adopt a Bed’ of Casa Hope, which ensures the permanence of a child and his companion during the treatment period.
Onçafari
We support the Onçafari Association which was established to promote the conservation of the biodiversity within several Brazilian biomes, with emphasis on jaguars and maned wolves.
Events and trade Shows
The supported projects aim to raise awareness among the population and help animals in situations of social vulnerability. These campaigns are castration, vaccination, and actions to disseminate correct, easy-to-understand, and quality information that annually impact more than 2 thousand people throughout Brazil, organized by institutions and universities that aim for animal and human welfare.
We encourage the main actions that address the One Health, a concept that is based on the inseparable union between animal, human, and environmental health and that, through the integration between Veterinary Medicine and Human Medicine, helps to prevent and fight several diseases.
